Comments: Unlike most contractors, John got in touch with us during the same day that I filled out my request. We worked through the project during which he worked very hard to come up with the right color cap stones so that the wall looked good. He was also accommodating when we asked that we move around caps so that all the new ones were in the same place. I would recommend him highly.

Comments: We hired Scala Bros. Masonry after reading their reviews and was not disappointed. John Scala came out to meet with us twice, gave us a quote and estimated time to start and finish the job and answered any questions we had...very personable. John started the job when promised and though the weather didn't always cooperate they finished in the time period quoted. No easy task, they were rebuilding about 90' feet of an old stone wall that was continuously falling apart. Lots of excavating and rebuild custom wall by hand....the end result was awesome! They took care to not damage our fairly new driveway with equipment and cleaned up great when they were done. I would definitely hire John again. As he is fond of saying "I love to build walls".

Comments: The other company never got back to me. I was very pleased with Scala Bros' communication & they worked with us to come up with a convenient time. There was only a 1-day unavoidable delay and they notified me right away. They are knowledgeable craftsmen. We had a chimney problem and they didn't need any further direction - they did everything including flashing and trim. When complete, the work was outstanding. It was high quality, neat, and their clean-up was impeccable. I recommend them highly and will certainly use them again for any masonry work we need.
